May – Pickle for a Purpose

In May, we hit the courts for our 2nd Annual Pickle for a Purpose fundraiser at Rally Pickleball in Charlotte, NC. The event focused on raising funds to support caregivers and to sponsor our next Fellow in the UPMC Sports Medicine Concussion Program. With a great turnout and a NASCAR livestream, guests enjoyed everything from court play and a silent auction to our popular trucker hat bar. April – Growing a Dementia Garden

April showers brought new life to a special project in Salisbury, NC. We partnered with Trinity Living Center, an adult day center, to revamp their outdoor space into a dementia garden. With a little power washing, landscaping, and new furniture, the area has been transformed into a peaceful haven where attendees can relax, garden, and connect with nature. Research shows that dementia gardens reduce stress and agitation, while also stimulating the brain and fostering a sense of independence.
