RBFF Welcomes Newest Fellow in UPMC Sports Medicine Concussion Program

The Ryan Blaney Family Foundation welcomes Dr. Nacona Bunker to the UPMC Sports Medicine Concussion Program. The RBFF started their “Fund-A-Fellow” program to fund the training of fellows at the world-renowned UPMC Concussion Clinic. Upon completion of the 2-year program, these doctors will move on to other practices throughout the country, thereby eliminating the need for all patients to travel to Pittsburgh, PA for treatment. Ryan Blaney Family Foundation’s 2023 Recap

2023 was an exciting year for the Ryan Blaney Family Foundation. Not only did Ryan win the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series Championship, but the RBFF made a huge impact in the lives of those with Alzheimer’s and Concussion, along with their local communities. The RBFF raised roughly $175,000 in 2023. From fundraisers to generous donations, the funds raised allowed the foundation to do great work. Their Topgolf fundraiser raised a total of $130,000 with $80,000 given to the UPMC Sports Medicine Concussion Program in part of the foundation’s Fund-A-Fellow program. Patton High School Raises Over $1000 For Ryan Blaney Family Foundation

Patton High School located in Morgantown, NC, held an Alzheimer’s Awareness night in conjunction with the Ryan Blaney Family Foundation on Thursday, November 30th, during their boy’s and girl’s varsity basketball games. When boy’s head coach, Dennis Brittain, reached out regarding an Alzheimer’s night, we were eager to be a part of it. Community events such as these have been on our on radar for some time, as we’re hoping to attend more events such as these to get word out in different communities about the two brain health causes that mean so much to us.
