RBFF Fundraiser in Iowa

On Saturday, June 15, the Ryan Blaney Family Foundation donated $10,000 to the Alzheimer’s Association of Des Moines, in honor of The Longest Day. June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month, and the RBFF has a long standing relationship with the Alzheimer’s Association after the passing of Lou Blaney in 2009. Since the inception of the Ryan Blaney Family Foundation, the organization has donated over $1,000,000 to the Alzheimer’s Association to help fund research and resources.

The RBFF hosted Dinner with the Champions at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fam & Museum in Knoxville, IA. Dinner with the Champions included the opportunity to meet all three Blaney boys – Ryan, Dave and Dale – and get autographs from them. Guests then enjoyed dinner, door prizes and watched the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars compete at Knoxville Raceway.

The Blaney Family has many ties to not only dirt racing, but to Knoxville and Iowa, as a whole. Ryan’s mother, Lisa, is an Iowa Native, and Ryan’s father, Dave, won the Knoxville National’s in 1997. Ryan’s uncle, Dale, has competed in the Knoxville Nationals multiple times throughout his career, and his grandfather, Lou, ran 4th in the Knoxville Nationals in 1974.
